Hi, I’ve been using the functions.php version of this plugin for a little while and thought I’d give this one a go. Its seems really solid so far great work. Just one thing bugs me and thats the Google Maps API link in the head of everypage, even when its not needed.

I’ve tried a few remove_actions in my functions file but couldn’t drop it. Any ideas how to go about this?

For the time being at least I’m ok to drop it site wide since I’ve not got any plans to use the GMaps features. But it would be nice to check if its needed or not.

Hi ch8rt, thanks for the feedback. There’s a new version due very soon, and I’ll definitely include something to address this. Either the ability to selectively turn on and off major components like the Gmap stuff, or better-targetted inclusion of scripts.

Update: 0.7 due very soon. It includes flags for wp-config.php that can disable the Gmaps and/or the file selection functionality completely.
