    Hi

    We have a plugin in the repository and are discussing the possibility of creating a duplicate version (largely the same code) with different text, styling etc. to deal with differing regulations.

    Do WP restrict versions of plugins that have a largely similar code base?

    It’s generally prohibited. You can email [email protected] for more information, but ‘clone’ plugins like that are not permitted. There are always exceptions, but it depends entirely on what you mean by “differing regulations”
