    Hi Hector,

My self hosted WP site has deactivated the plugin due to a fatal error…

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare wpp_get_views() (previously declared in /home/cookery-ideas/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-popular-posts/wordpress-popular-posts.php:3314) in /home/cookery-ideas/public_html/wp-content/plugins/xxx-wordpress-popular-posts/wordpress-popular-posts.php on line 3314

I don’t know when this started as I only noticed it this morning.

Can you also let me know if this error affects data collection?

Cheers and thanks for a great plugin!!!

    Bob

Wordpress self hosted install, version 4.6.1

    Hi there!

You have two different versions of the WPP plugin installed on your site:

    wp-content/plugins/wordpress-popular-posts/wordpress-popular-posts.php

    wp-content/plugins/xxx-wordpress-popular-posts/wordpress-popular-posts.php

Get rid of one of them and you’re good to go, but ask your developer first since there must be a reason why he/she modified the WPP plugin (although it’s a bad practice to do that).

    Hey Hector…

er… I am the developer! I think I renamed it while I was moving the site to a new VM. Thanks for spotting my mistake. I removed the xxx-wordpress-popular-posts version and indeed, everything is working again.

    Thanks very much!!!
