Plugin deactivated

    Hello Support,

    For the second time in a few weeks the plugin has been deactivated now.
    When I try to reinstall it I’m getting an error:

    Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.

    What should I do?

  • Hi Bjorn,

    Thank you for reaching out to us, and I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with this.

    That message means that you’re trying to upload the plugin, but for some reason, some of the files (or the folder) are still there.

    What you’ll need to do is connect via sFTP, or SSH and go to the wp-content/plugins/ folder of your server and remove the following folder: the-events-calendar. Once you do that, you should be able to install the plugin.
