• First off, amazing plugin. I was having trouble getting it to work and then I found out the culprit was W3 Total Cache. For now I have the latter deactivated, but I’d really like to enable both Live Search and W3 Total Cache.

Do you know of any settings I can change in W3 Total Cache for Live Search to work? My W3 Total Cache settings for when Live Search did not work were: Page, Database, Object, and Browser Caching: enabled. Minify: not enabled.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Have you contacted the original plugin author? Have you tested various caching engine variations?

I have both W3 Total Cache and Daves Live Search (v 3.0a2) running without a problem.

Which version of Dave’s Live Search are you running?

    Try the latest alpha-verison:

I have the same issue running the latest alpha with W3TC and have had to disable the Live Search for now.

I’m not able to reproduce any problems with the latest W3 Total Cache and DWLS 3.0a2 (or newer).

Any chance one of you folks having problems could send me an export of your W3 Total Cache settings? There’s a button for it on the bottom of the “general” section of the W3 Total Cache settings. Email to [email protected] – thanks!

Since moving my website to WP-Engine they have assured me that this is not a caching issue but is in fact a conflict with another plugin.

When I get a chance I will use their staging area to clone my website and identify the conflicting plugins. Once I have that info I will post back to this thread.
