• Firstly can I just say that discovering this template has changed the way I view WordPress – and opened up a world of possibilities… thank you!

When uploading images into a custom field template (textarea) using wordpress’ image uploader the built in gallery function doesn’t seem to work – all you see on the page is the shortcoder (ie [gallery link="file"] )

    thanks

  • Hi Zandercent,

Checkout this post as I’ve had this problem before too.

    Thanks.

The solution of @proximity2008 didn’t work for me, maybe by anything related to some plugin’s code update in the last months…

I solved the gallery shortcode problem doing what’s explained in this post.

I have the same problem and neither solution works.

How to display an image (or movie) stored as a custom field (using the file upload field option).

The closest I’ve gotten is a display of numbers “85, 86, etc.” on the post page, where images should appear. I’ve tried both shortcodes “[]” and the format codes in the main post editor window and various php call options (get, echo, etc.) within the template files.

Is there a simple option that applies universally?

    Found the answer. Thx.
