• I am running WordPress v3.2.1 since December 2011 and originally installed Custom Contact Forms v4.7.0.4, which worked flawlessly until last week. All of a sudden Custom Contact Forms just stopped sending e-mails submitted from any form. I did not make any changes or install any plugins — CCF just stopped sending e-mails.

After reading many suggestions in these forums, today I successfully installed the WP-Mail-SMTP plug-in. I receive the test e-mails from that plug-in using the settings below, but still do not receive any e-mail from the CCF forms. Then I upgraded Custom Contact Forms to v5.0.0.1 after trying the PHP mail and SMTP settings suggested in these forums, to no avail. The setup is as follows.

The site is hosted on Godaddy shared linux server
    Wordpress 3.2.1
    Custom Contact Forms 5.0.0.1

    WP-Mail-SMTP Plug-in Settings:
Send all WordPress emails via SMTP
    relay-hosting.secureserver.net
    Port 25
    No encryption
    No authentication

Custom Contact Forms General Settings (Mail Settings):
Send My Emails Using the Following: WordPress Default
All other fields are blank or none

The e-mail address was created in my Godaddy control panel and it exists in my account — also, this is the same “Email From” address configured in both plug-ins. Thanks in advance!!

  • Server requires authentication to send email. Try using username and password. Just a thought.

    “No authentication”

I was also having a problem with not getting email notifications… I was getting them… then it stopped… I hadn’t made any changes to the website.

I spend hours running around this issue today… and MAYBE I found the solution… but after making so many changes am not even sure…

It seems that when I put in more than one address under General Settings under Default Address it did not send the email to either…

When I went to the Manage Forms section and used the More Options for each form, I could put in multiple addresses in the Destination Email field, and then it worked.

At one point I used Export All CCF Plugin Content (under General Settings, near bottom)– deactivated, then reactivated CCF, then with a bit of trepidation used the Import function (bottom of General Settings) — and perhaps this solved some issues.

    Good luck.
