[Plugin: Cursor Trail] What am I missing? Plugin doesn't appear to do anything.

Maybe I’m using too new of a version of WordPress for this plugin, but I can’t get the Cursor Trail plugin to work. Nothing happens after I activate it. Am I missing something? I have tried leaving the default settings and adding dates, but no luck. And as “useless” as this plugin is, I sure would like for it to work.
