[Plugin: CSV Importer] Large import failing, skipped posts

hi there. I have a large export from a SQL server (old website) that I am trying to import all of the content into wordpress using the plugin – however, encountering difficulty.
I have ensure that my CSV file is structured according to your example.csv file, including double quote escaping for any ” that may appear within the copy, this includes any references to html etc.
I have not tried the large full import yet (as im guessing I will need to split it up) however, from my export I have selected the first 10 rows to test the data.
initially, my data is separated by a PIPE ( | ) symbol, and when trying to import it – it simply skips 10 posts and nothing is imported.
I then replaced any occurances of “|” to be “,” and tried the import again, this time it imported 2 and skipped 8. I have checked the data again, and everything is correct.
obviously I cannot pull in the large dataset yet as I am not confident it is working with the small set of test data, please can you help!!
