Since the last WordPress upgrade your plugin has caused frequent site crashes that give 500/501/503 errors. This happens when editing and updating any post that contains your Post carousel/slider widget.

    Example error messages

An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 13 of the file /home/scubatec/public_html/scuba_blog/wp-content/plugins/getwid/includes/load.php. Error message: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/scubatec/public_html/scuba_blog/wp-content/plugins/getwid/includes/font-icons-manager/font-icons-manager.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/alt/php74/usr/share/pear’)

An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 16 of the file /home/scubatec/public_html/wp-content/plugins/getwid/includes/load.php. Error message: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/scubatec/public_html/wp-content/plugins/getwid/includes/version-control.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/alt/php74/usr/share/pear’)

    Site details:

    WordPress version 6.2
    Active theme: Blocksy (version 1.8.82)
    Current plugin: Getwid (version 1.8.3)
    PHP version 7.4.33

I would rather not uninstall your plugin as I find it very useful. Are you aware of problems and/or will they be fixed quickly?

    Hello Andy!

Sorry to hear that you faced such an issue with our plugin.

It appeared that it’s not fully compatible with the latest version of WordPress, which our developers are already aware of.

However, I just installed the Blocksy theme (1.8.82) but wasn’t able to reproduce the same issue that you have no matter where, on a general page or a post, I use these blocks. I checked it on PHP 7.4 as well. So perhaps there’s something else that’s causing this issue on your side. I suggest you try disabling other plugins that you have just to check this theory out.

Also, according to the error message you provided (failed opening required…), it looks like there may be some missing plugin files.

So in this case, I may also suggest you try to reinstall the Getwid plugin itself.?Let me know if that’s helpful.
