    Hello

I have just created a brand new wp site (v 5.6.x php 7.4).

When I try to activate the plugin, I get a WP “critical error” with the error message below. I have tried reinstalling etc but no good. Any clues gratefully accepted.

    Thanks a lot

An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 0 of the file /var/www/vhosts/gocultures.com/httpdocs/proofread/wp-content/plugins/kadence-starter-templates/vendor/wxr-importer/WXRImporter.php. Error message: Cannot declare class AwesomeMotive\WPContentImporter2\WXRImporter, because the name is already in use

    Hello Ben

I did go through all of the plugins and there was a problem with one called something like one-click starter templates or something like that. I removed it and all is ok now. I should have done this before alerting you but it seemed to be a problem specific to the kadence plugin (but was not).

Thanks again for your prompt response

    Hi folks

Topic’s OP has resolved his issue but the issue itself isn’t resolved. There is indeed a conflict with this plugin and One Click Import plugin:

Fatal error: Cannot declare class AwesomeMotive\WPContentImporter2\WXRImporter, because the name is already in use in /home/wp/public_html/wp-content/plugins/kadence-starter-templates/vendor/wxr-importer/WXRImporter.php on line 0

Would be good if you guys got together and figured out the best way forward or at least put a big notice on your plugin page giving people a heads up not to activate both plugins.

Have also reported it in the other plugin’s support area here.

    Thanks.

    Hi,
The recent update to Kadence Starter templates will prevent this conflict ??

    Thanks @britner, much appreciated.
