Plugin crash when edit files

I am used to edit both themes and plugin files and have a very well tested way of doing this. I recently came a cross a plugin that I simply can’t edit!
Even if I open any file from this plugin and upload it back without edit anything, the plugin give me a “Header already sent..”-error.

What can be cause this problem?

Thanks for any ideas that pushes me in right direction to solving this.
