• Andrew,

I like the plugin but I’m wondering if the following would be possible to implement.
I have a bunch of upcoming events and I only show the first upcoming event on my site.
However: I was wondering if it is possible to show only the first event and another event (not particularly the 2nd) if I would choose 2, but then based on priority so that I can put a countdown to another special event also on my website. This can be the 6th upcoming event in the list, but I don’t want to use 6 countdowns on my site.
Or something with a flag, that if the flag is put on then it will be shown as ‘extra’ upcoming event in the list, meaning if your default is 1, then this extra event will also pop-up if it’s not the first one.

    Thanx in advance.

    Greetings, Dick

    Hmmm…that’s not a bad idea.

I’m hesitant to use a flag based system (e.g. always show this timer) because it introduces a new field. I think a better way might be to drag and drop the order, similar to how widgets can be ordered. Do you think that would work?

For the next release, I’m working on doing some AJAX stuff with how timers are added so multiple events can be added without having to submit. In fact, the submit button could go away completely.

That would be the ground work for being able to rearrange timers using a drag and drop interface, which I think jquery has some support for.

I don’t think it will make it in the next release, but I’ll think about it for the one after.

    Andrew,

Ok, that’s a nice idea as well, dragging and dropping, only if it works the same way now, that after the first upcoming event has occured automatically the next upcoming event shows up. That’s what I like now and when dragging and dropping this behaviour can get ‘stuck’, or am I seeing this wrong?
The flag-based idea with the extra field looks more easily to be implemented.
Well, don’t hurry. The plugin works currently as designed.

    Greetings, Dick
