Hmmm You must have a very strange setup as the code looks okay.

However I have refactored the section anyway, there is actually a wordpress function that I can use.

So try the latest version and let me know how you go

    Hey Pete!

Thanks for the response and quick update! So I believe this error has to do with my server’s version of PHP is lower than 5.4. I tried the new update and got a similar error lower in your code.

You are right but please try the new version (1.12), it should now be backwards compatible (hopefully)??

Ok, the newest version it was able to activate! But now we’re getting some extra content errors.

(and the other link ‘https://ballislife.com/?feed=lh-instant-articles’ doesn’t appear to work with this setup)

Well we are almost there, looks like older php does not support mixed escaping, please try the newest 1.13. Can’t be too many more issues

Thanks for the update Pete! So I updated just fine but we’re still getting that previous error.
