This plugin requires PHP 5.4 or higher.

Please be aware that even PHP 5.4 and any version prior is no longer supported, and might yield security risks:

Please advice with your Hosting Provider prior to upgrading.

$slug = explode("/", $key);
$slug = reset( $slug ); // Or: $slug = $slug[0];

Using reset prior will emit the following warning to enforce strict guidelines:
Only variables should be passed by reference in ...

Or, it will trigger a fatal error when not using PHP functions on outdated PHP versions, like what’s shown here.
