[Plugin: Cool Video Gallery] where do the video files go?

I’ve just tried the video playback in Win 7 Ultimate/ IE8 and it is working perfectly. May be it is the issue with your adobe flash player.

I’m using the latest version of adobe flash player: 10,2,152,26 installed
But I still have this issue. I also tried different computers and still couldnt view the player in IE. I’m using IE 8 by the way. Is there anyway that I can send you a private message so you can view it yourself?

I dont know what’s happening, but it works sometimes and most of the time the video doesnt work. Do you have anything installed on your PC that I dont? I tried this on different PCs/laptops and its only my computer but they also have this issues with IE. I tried changing the video players and still sometimes it works and sometimes not. I don’t know what else to do.

Is your video encoded in correct format as mentioned by plugin requirements? H.264 format?

I tried FLV and MOV format and I still have the same issue. I guess there is a problem with lightbox. it works once out of 10 ties. It’s very unsual, cause its not only my computer. I really need this to get solved please. Anyways that we can chat on skype? so things go on faster?

The popup feeature used here is shadowbox. May be the issue is due to large size of the video and the internet connectivity. I’m not sure about this issue. I will let you know if i find a fix for it.

Yes, I have the same problem – I have the latest version of everything, but when I try to play, no video, only audio, and it plays very slow.

Also, the 64 Mb video limit is ridiculous, and one should not have to be a programmer to change it.

Why do you not have an option for the video to play in situ, like YouTube, rather than blacking out the rest of the screen?

Also, the WordPress options screen is very clunky – you click to change gallery setting, gallery sort, and it says “gallery not found” and you have to to back and click on “manage gallery”.

Very user-vicious program. 1/5 rating. Hopeless. Waste of time. I have just spent 10 hours just trying to upload a few videos, and it is all time down the drain.

Let me clarify your issues one by one.

1. The video player used in this plugin is JWPlayer. The supported video formats are listed in the link provided.

Playing video files in webpage and playing them on your local machine with your player are entirely different scenario.

2. The video upload size limit mentioned, 64 MB is not controlled by the plugin. That is the maximum file upload size limited by your hosting server. My plugin uses this value and it does not control it. If that is not the case it will be the maximum file upload limit set for your WordPress installation. Please contact your host for details.

3. Video playback is done in a popup for the current version. Embedding option will be introduced in my next release.

4. The navigation follows a very simple logic. Gallery details and Gallery sort pages are populated with details only when a gallery is chosen. Gallery settings page works in normal way.

I suppose you have not utilized the features of this plugin to its full extent. Otherwise you would not have wasted your precious time uploading large video files through admin section. ??

A Scan gallery option is available which will add FTPd videos to the current gallery chosen.

Awesome Plugin, I love that you can FTP your files up and do the sort, etc. The player is great too! You did a great job and I THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
