[Plugin: Cool Video Gallery] Does not begin playback until finished downloading

  • I’m experiencing the same thing.
    I created my files in Xilisoft converter, and have tried .mov and .mp4
    Both play, but have to load fully first.
    It would be great if they would stream, so users didn’t have to wait.
    Any ideas?

    I think I may have figured out my problem. The meta data needs to be moved from the end to the beginning using a utility:

    Am now re-uploading my massive files after running through MP4 Fast Start to see if it works.

    Ok, after running the MP4 Fast Start and reuploading, the videos start streaming right away, and buffering well, but there is NO AUDIO. Arghhh… Having no more luck so far.

    The MP4 fast start cured the problem for me, so a massive thanks for the suggestion! ??
    If it’s any use, my MP4 files were converted using Xilisoft convertor, using the standard H264 settings, with audio on Highest quality. The software tells me that it’s using the mpeg4aac codec, at a bitrate of 320, samplerate 44100, 2 channel stereo. Don’t know if that helps ?

    Ok, I figured it out. I had to use QTINDEXSWAPPER instead of MP4 Fast Start. I believe it has to do with the video originating as an .f4v file.
