[Plugin: Cookies for Comments] CFC / Akismet

Thanks for providing CFC, spamrobots are on advance.
Question is, when disabling CFC, is it required to manually remove it from the database also? Or is it disabled by simply setting it “deactivated” at the Plugin panel? Is Akisment using the same note, “blogged by CFC”? Thanks for clarification!
