    Have you copied the shortcode for the newly created form element (recaptcha) to the form content.

    I’m having the exact same problem. Captcha showed up OK but I immediately started getting a bunch of spam emails. I switched to recaptcha and got the necessary keys. Changed the code on the form but now nothing shows up but a red * where the recaptcha should be. Reverted to Twenty-Twelve theme and had the same issue.

    I deleted the recaptcha for the time being since it’s preventing the form from working at all. I can put it back if someone needs to analyze it.
