  • The email field should be validated by default. If I put through a malformed email address, I get the error message:

“Validation errors occurred. Please check the required fields and submit it again.”

Is the OP asking about malformed addresses (bill.foobar.com), or non-existent emails (properly formed, but not real email addresses)?

I see that Contact7 gives the message for malformed addresses, as zoonini noted.

But as I test Contact7, invalid (nonexistent) email addresses are accepted and the contact info sent.

The only difference I experience is a delay before the nonexistent address comment hits my inbox. (But I don’t know if that is my web host, my receiving email host, or something to do with Contact7/Akismet).

The email addresses appear to be valid but nonexistent email addresses which are obviously accepted and the contact info sent. I doubt much can be done about this?
