• hello there,
just bought the updated version on contact form 7 to database edit with the editor paid 50$ via paypal.
when I checked the plugin in worked fine changing the column titles but when I tested it again (using the contact form and submiting), the plugin created the “old” table columns and titles again and the columns where doubled.
is there a way around this bug?

note: using hebrew version of wordpress and wrote the column title names in hebrew.

thanks for this plugin. hope you could help me with this bug.

Be sure it is not this issue:

If your form has a field named “A”, then you get a column “A” in the database. You can use the editor to rename column “A” into a new column “B”. But if your form still has a field named “A”, then new submissions will still go into an “A” column. You need to change the field name in your form definition to “B” as well.

You can still rename again your “A” column to “B” even if “B” is already there.

maybe I din’t make myself clear, poor english.

i’m changing the column name to hebrew, the names are unique,
there is no mistake about that. when I change the column names and post mail again, the columns duplicate.
now i have 5 columns with hebrew names, and the first 5 columns in english. it seems that the database remembers the first names and posts them everytime the column names change.
from some reason that don’t make sense to me.

how do I prevent the columns from duplicating?
    thanks and good day.

when I change the column names and post mail again, the columns duplicate.

Did you change the names of these fields in the form definition (in CF7 or FSCF whichever you are using)? Do the field names in the form definition match the column names you want to see in the database?

If so, then after you rename the English columns to a Hebrew name, you should no longer get any English columns.

the columns duplicate… now i have 5 columns with hebrew names, and the first 5 columns in english

    do you mean you have
    – 5 columns in English all with the same column name and
    – 5 columns in Hebrew all with the same column name
    – If you submitted the form again, you would then have 6 of each?

Or, do you mean you have 5 form fields with different names, but you have 10 columns showing because each has an English and a Hebrew version?
    – Do you have the same data in all cells of both the English and Hebrew versions? Or is it just data in the newly submitted cells?

What you have said sounds like the issue I described earlier. But perhaps I don’t understand fully. If the editor plugin is not working properly for you, I will happily issue a refund if you like. If you are seeing duplicate data, then I will help you delete that from your DB if we need to clean it up.
