[Plugin: Contact Form 7 to Database Extension] Parse Error

    I downloaded and installed the plugin via the wordpress install but am getting this error when i try to activate.

    Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /share/www/mentalfloss.com/html2/html/blogs/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7-to-database-extension/CF7DBPlugin.php on line 19

    I’m using PHP Version 4.3.9, could that be causing this issue? any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in plugins/contact-form-7-to-database-extension/CF7DBPlugin.php on line 19

    Looks like it’s PHP version issue. “Global” variables are of PHP 5.
    I cannot confirm at the moment, but will try upgrading PHP later.

    This error indicates you are not running PHP 5, you have an earlier version.
