    Hi There,

I’m pretty sure I’ve got it all set up right.. but for whatever reason it’s not working :-/ could it be that my names have hyphens and spaces and such in them? the button in the editor is correctly,I think, converting them
for instance London North/Central – Some Name
    is converted to:
    /contacttest/#London+North%2FCentral+-+Some+Name

but it’s not changing it when I get to the page – contact form works fine.

    any ideas?

  • Thanks for including a concrete testcase.
However, it does work as intended in my test installation.
To make sure hyphen/slash is not the issue, would you test some name without them?

Hi there, thanks for your quick reply

OK, I’ve just changed one of them to completely eliminate the hypen and the slash, and still no joy.

the site in question is here: https://www.izauk.org/zen-groups-in-uk/london-north/ and if you scroll down to the bottom of that page, you’ll see I’ve got a button to send an email – which is going to my test page.

it IS rendering /contacttest/#London+North+and+Central+My+Name but not pre-selecting it :-/

    any ideas?

    thank you!

You forgot the id:recipient part of the select box. I will make my extension throw a more visible error for this in the next version.

    wow thanks!

I’ll have another look through the documentation and see if I can figure out where to put that

This is a very useful plugin – thank you very much

    Hi All

I am setting up a website for a support group that I am with. I set up the Contact Form 7 and the Contact Form 7 Select Box Editor Button, but it does not work. It appears on the screen as expected and I can select a recipient from a list of recipients, but the emails always come to my home address.

Also, the default Recipient is the first in the list. This is the code that I believe is required: I removed the real email addresses.

    [select* recipient id:recipient "Secretary|someaddress1" "Contact Officer1|someaddress2" Contact Officer2|someaddress3" "Contact Officer3|someaddress4" "Contact Officer5|somaddress5" "Contact Officer6|someaddress6"]

Any ideas where I am going wrong

    Regards

    Hi All

Sorry to an alarmist, but after a couple of more hours of research I found the problem. I forgot about the ‘Mail To’ setting. It did not display the option with the Contact Form operating in a Text Widget. When I transferred it to a ‘page’ the option became available. Setting it to [recipient] fixed the problem and I transferred it back to the widget area.

All works fine except that the first entry is still the default selection, but that is not an issue in my case.

    Regards

    Jayne
