[plugin: contact Form 7 Really Simple CAPTCHA] Still getting Spam

  • Hi
    I’ve installed Really Simple CAPTCHA, which works, but my client is still getting spam submissions. The form requires email, phone and name and the submissions are clearly false e.g. the phone number is not in a recognised format.
    Does anyone know of CAPTCHA being hacked or can I reassure my client these must be either mischievous or incorrect human entries?

  • IT appears the latest update has broken all Captcha and re-captcha plugins, it’s been posted about a number of times and still waiting for the CF7 authors to respond or update with a version that makes them work again. You can revert to an older version in the meantime, but we need the CF7 authors to get an update out. The fact it’s been broken this long after the latest updates is a bit bad.
