[Plugin: Contact Form 7] No emails sent
-
Is the author listening?
There seem to be hundreds of messages here, with the problem that the contact form is not sending email.
Yes, comments etc emailing is working.
I am on a very typical WHM/Cpanel type setup. In the WHM –> Tweak Settings, it’s specified that emails from “nobody” will not be allowed to be sent. This should not matter as I am specifying a “FROM” in the form settings.
Not sure how this dumb plugin on sending mail, but nothing is being sent.
Looking at the Exim log, it seems it says this:
2012-03-01 02:45:45 1S30ht-0005xg-S0 <= [email protected] U=nobody P=local S=815 id=e802c260bdf6d4e875834bfc2e807076mysite.com T=”[your-subject]” for adminmysite.com
2012-03-01 02:45:45 cwd=/var/spool/exim 3 args: /usr/sbin/exim -Mc 1S30ht-0005xg-S0
2012-03-01 02:45:45 1S30ht-0005xg-S0 ** admin mysite.com R=checkspam2: Mail sent by user nobody being discarded due to sender restrictions in WHM->Tweak SettingsEven if I allow “nobody” user, which is insecure, it sends me emails that look like this:
From: [your-name] <[your-email]>
Subject: [your-subject]Message Body:
[your-message]What drivel is this? Aren’t those square brackets supposed to be replaced by the appropriate values? Why is it sending me this email literally?
Questions:
1. How do I send email even with the option setup to “disallow email from nobody user”?
2. How do I make sure the plugin is replacing the square brackets as it is supposed to?
Thanks.
