[Plugin: Contact Form 7] Dropdown Meny doesn’t appear in email body

    I created a dropdown menu, and added it to my mail body as the FAQ described. But, it just appears as the shortcode in my email. Here is my dropdown:

    <p>What type of information would you like to submit?
    [select your-information: “Local Services” “Regional Services” “Education Resources” “Activity Information” “Medical and Mental Health Info” “Suggestions” “Articles and News” “Useful Website” “Other” “I have a question”]</p>

    and here is my mail body:

    Message body:
    [your-information]
    [your-message]

    But when I test it, the email arrives with everything correct except there is no dropdown info, just [your-information] in the email.

    I have read the FAQ and forums multiple times, I can’t see what I am doing wrong.

    “:” shouldn’t be there.

    That is strange, because that is an un-edited copy of how the Contact Form 7 output the code for the dropdown.

    Sure enough, that was the problem.
