FAQ: The spinning arrow icon shows up once I submit a form, but then nothing happens.

I have not tried the hack of <p style=”visibility:hidden;”>[file upload]</p>” so I will try that now.

This can’t be an ultimate solution.

I agree – it is a hack and I have not tried it yet. Do you have any suggestions or see anything on the page that may be the problem?

Thank you for your help in this. It is a wonderful plugin and I have never had a problem with it until now. I have used it on numerous sites.

I had this issue on a new install yesterday. While it’s unlikely others have the same root problem I thought I’d share it just in case.

I was using name permalinks to refer to pages rather than index.php?p=123 yet I was using a 404 redirect to index.php in my Apache config without a .htaccess file to handle permalinks.

Everything else seemed to work fine albeit with “file not found” errors in my Apache error.log.

After a day of swearing at Contact Form 7 I finally put two and two together and created a proper .htaccess file to perform my permalink redirects and Contact Form 7 suddenly started to work. If you loko at your Apache error.log and notice file not found errors referring to your Contact Form page then I suggest tackling those.

To clarify, the issue I was experiencing was a constant spinning arrow next to the submit button with no email sent.

    Cheers,

    Neil.
