[Plugin: Contact Form 7] an a-problem

I’m running into a problem trying to make an order form with Contact Form 7. In fact it’s the 3rd problem…
1st the memory limit got exceeded when trying to save the form. I resolved that adding “define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’96M’);” in wp-config.php, but then smth in the first line in wp-config.php caused that I still couldn’t save the form. WP Total Cache added text there, I replaced it to the 2nd line…
All error messages stay away now, but when I press the save button, it only saves after replacing everything in the “mail” section with a’s… One a in every field.
I deactivated recently added plugins, deleted all WP entirely, except for the content folder and replaced it with a fresh download. Didn’t work. I’m using Chrome as browser. I tried in Firefox and IE, but both freez when I try to save.
It’d be great of someone could help me out with that. Tnx!
