• Resolved Root Creations

    (@root-creations)

    Hi,

Unfortunately, I appear to be experiencing a Maps Builder plugin conflict with Yoast SEO.

I am unable to replicate the issue with any other plugins – I’ve tested both locally and live and get the same result when I try to add a new marker – the page simply refreshes after a few seconds.

I’ve disabled all other plugins to test the problem in isolation and also switched to a default theme, the result is consistent.

I’m obviously surprised that I’m the only person who has so far reported this problem, so hold some hope that there is another solution. Obviously it is going to be difficult to resolve which of my favourite plugins to use if there is no fix.

Anyone else seeing this behaviour? Many thanks in advance for your support.

Update: It appears this is happening with the latest version of Yoast SEO. The previous version I had installed in a sandbox worked fine until I updated it.

I cannot add more than one marker for either newly created or published maps. ty

    HI there,

Yes, the latest Yoast SEO is causing issues with many different plugins. We’re recommending our users rollback to a previous version using our WP-Rollback plugin. Makes it very safe and easy to do that.

Thanks for the confirmation and the fix!

Do you happen to know which rollback version is working correctly? ty

Update: It appears the last compatible version of Yoast SEO that I have found is V2.3.5, ty

The Yoast Team just pushed out a new version 3.0.4 which resolves this issue completely. You can see that referenced in the changelog:

    Thanks!

    Hello,

I have just tested Yoast SEO Version 3.0.7 with Leaflet Maps Marker 3.10.3 and I can confirm that the problem exists.

Either it was never fixed or it has come back.

    Hi @kamborio

I just tested Maps Builder with both of those plugins activated locally and had no troubles. I’d suggest the following:

    1) Deactivate all plugins except Maps Builder. Confirm that it’s working as expected.
    2) Activate each plugin one by one again and check whether Maps Builder continues to work. When you find the one that triggers a problem, let me know which one that is and I’ll try again.

    Thanks!

    Hello @webdevmattcrom,

My (partial) mistake. I was doing some searches and I either posted on the wrong page or I read too fast.

Anyhow, now that I have your attention: The problem is not with “Maps Builder” but with “Leaflet Maps Marker”.

Would you be so kind to check “Yoast SEO” and “Leaflet Maps Marker” together?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

I did that initially, both plugins were activated with Maps Builder and I had no trouble.

Can you explain exactly what trouble you’re having when those plugins are all activated together so I can try to duplicate the problem very specifically?
