    Hi there,

I received an error message stating “Sorry, we’ve experienced some error.” when I tried to view the Font Awesome settings page after enabling some other plugins.

After disabling all other plugins, enabling the Twenty Nineteen theme, then refreshing the F/A settings, the error didn’t reappear when I refreshed the F/A settings page. After re-enabling plugins one by one, I narrowed it down to WP Retina 2x (I have the pro version of that installed). I then disabled all other plugins except for Font Awesome and WP Retina 2x Pro and confirmed the error message still appeared.

I have WordPress 5.2 and PHP 7.1 installed.

I will reach out to the developer of that plugin as well.

Well, that’s a whole other can of worms. A big part of my hope with this plugin is to provide a common place for coordination of Font Awesome loading. It’s a classic problem, especially obvious in WordPress, where multiple plugins and themes may each try to load their own version.

We have a plan for improving conflict detection and removal for a future release of this plugin. In the meantime, this plugin can only automatically detect and remove the most obvious cases. That Clearfy conflict probably can’t be automatically removed. So yeah, it’d be great of someone at Clearfy would be willing to collaborate with us on a better approach.
