    Hi,
    I was trying out the free version of your plugin but was finding that when it was enabled, I was getting an error in my wp-admin dashboard widgets. The critical error message was appearing just under the text inside the “at a glance” dashboard widget and in the console there was a 500 error for wp-admin/index.php.

    After going to a staging site and disabling and reenabling a bunch of things, I found that the error is occuring when I have BOTH Glossary and USP Pro enabled. If I disable one or the other the error clears up.

    When I turn on debug, I see the following error message inside the “at a glance” widget:

    Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: Extended_Taxonomy_Admin::glance_items(): Argument #1 ($items) must be of type array, null given, called in /var/www/html/site/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 307 and defined in /var/www/html/site/public_html/wp-content/plugins/glossary-by-codeat/vendor/johnbillion/extended-cpts/src/class-extended-taxonomy-admin.php:545 Stack trace: #0 /var/www/html/site/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(307): Extended_Taxonomy_Admin->glance_items(NULL) #1 /var/www/html/site/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php(191): WP_Hook->apply_filters(NULL, Array) #2 /var/www/html/site/public_html/wp-admin/includes/dashboard.php(356): apply_filters('dashboard_glanc...', Array) #3 /var/www/html/site/public_html/wp-admin/includes/template.php(1401): wp_dashboard_right_now('', Array) #4 /var/www/html/site/public_html/wp-admin/includes/dashboard.php(265): do_meta_boxes(Object(WP_Screen), 'normal', '') #5 /var/www/html/site/public_html/wp-admin/index.php(203): wp_dashboard() #6 {main} thrown in /var/www/html/site/public_html/wp-content/plugins/glossary-by-codeat/vendor/johnbillion/extended-cpts/src/class-extended-taxonomy-admin.php on line 545
    There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

    I have tried, on the staging site, resetting both plugins back to their original settings. And I’ve tried switching to a default theme. But there isn’t any change.

    I am considering purchasing the pro version if I can get this working, but don’t want to stop using the other plugin. Would there be anything within the pro version that would solve this?

    Thanks

    Well, at least for now I disabled USP and added a different form, so the error is not occurring.

    Hi Cheryl,
    the error happens because USP pro is not managing that dashboard widget in the right way and our plugin intercept that error.
