    Hi tokkonopapa,

First of all thank you for developing IP Geo Block which is a fabulous plugin. However, it seems to me that it works too well in my case… ??

I do have the newsletter plugin Mail Poet 2 running on my website. Whenever someone from a non-whitelisted country enters his data into the newsletter form and submits them, he receives the following error:

Oops! There is a problem with this form:
    textStatus:error
    errorThrown:Forbidden
    responseText:

It definitely has to do with IP Geo Block because when I use Tor to simulate a foreign IP address, whitelist the correspondent country and enter data for a test, everything works fine. Yet, this is no permanent solution for me since my clients are coming from all over the world.

I have already tried to whitelist just the Mail Poet form page by
    – setting an exception in the Plugins area for Mail Poet 2,
    – setting an exception in the Admin ajax/post area for “wysija_ajax” which belongs to Mail Poet,
    – disabling the Admin ajax/post block by country.

Unfortunately nothing worked out. Is there a possibility to whitelist just the Mail Poet form (page) without endangering the website?

    Thanks in advance !

    Hi @berlinicker,

    Thank you for your reporting.

I investigated the cause of this issue and found a bug which was based on a certain historical reason.

I should update ASAP but the plugin is almost ready for the next release 3.0.7. So I uploaded the fixed version onto the Gist.

So could you please download a zip file of “class-ip-geo-block.php” and replace it with your /wp-content/plugins/ip-geo-block/classes/class-ip-geo-block.php that version number is same as the current one (3.0.6.1).

Then you can put wysija_ajax into “Exceptions” at “Admin ajax/post” as follows:

    I’m sorry for bothering you.
    Thanks.
