Plugin conflict with display filtering within Post Grid elements

For anyone else that might come across this, Tim also wrote to us by email and we are currently working with him and WPBakery to troubleshoot this issue, which seems to be related to the query used for the post grid element.

I imagine you, Tim, posted here as well in an effort to solicit a response from @gavman7. As we mentioned to you, Tim, in our email thread, that user never got back to us for further troubleshooting. But, if you do see this thread, @gavman7, and did resolve it, if you could please let us know what you did, it would be much appreciated.

For anyone encountering a similar issue, WPBakery has an option in their Post Grid element to use a custom query, which was used in this case to resolve the issue.
