    Hi Scott and thanks for this plugin.

    With smtp configure version 3.0 I’ve noticed that in configuration panel the smtp password is shown in clear.

    The previous version was somewhere better having it visible on html source but masked on interface (was on <input type=”password” … > field).

    Leaving just a couple of masked password fields (pass + pass verify) just to change the password as for WordPress standard (eg: Users > profile) would be a better choose IMHO.

    Thanks for pointing that out. An oversight in the recent update to the plugin. This has been addressed in the v3.0.1 release of the plugin. The password input field is now masked as it was in previous versions.

    I will certainly consider use of a different approach in the future. Bear in mind that in WP, for Post by E-mail, the email account password is always shown and in plain text, so WP isn’t standardized in this regard.
