• First off, I really wish I could use this plugin. It’s really awesome. Unfortunately the fact that it loads unnecessary javascript site-wide even when a map is not being used is not acceptable to me.

It would be great if you could include an option to disable the plugin, including the shortcode generator, on all but selected page IDs. I’d also need an option to disable the widget because just having the plugin active makes editing widgets unbearable. The amount of slow-down experienced when this plugin is active is really insane.

Please, either fix the way the widget works or give us an option to disable it.

I can have scripts loaded on the client side only when widget is active and if shortcodes are active too (parsed).

I will minify admin JS scripts … In fact, i really want to revisit the whole JS… It did became bigger

Thanks for the quick response. It would be really awesome if you could implement those changes because overall your plugin is the best out of all the ones I’ve tried. If it weren’t for the issues I mentioned I’d be using it on quite a few sites right now.

I actually hacked it apart a bit and got it to display on only one page but I decided not to implement it because I noticed that you update the plugin so frequently.

On, one other thing that I noticed is that it would be helpful if you added a line to re-frame the browser window when “Get Directions” is clicked. On smaller displays it can be very confusing to click the button and not see anything happen due to the fact that the directions are appearing bellow the map which is taking up the entire display area.

The ability to disable everything on all but selected pages/posts is really important, especially when dealing with sites that other people are going to have access to. If someone who isn’t very tech savvy sees some huge map interface on every page they will flip out and get totally confused. Then I start getting phone calls. I hate phone calls.

I’m pretty sure that it can be hidden using Display Options, but even when I do that I’ve had plenty of people un-hide things and then proceed to freak out… don’t ask me why, people are insane.

Ok…. I have revisited the JS and made it a bit smaller. Also, I am making sure that admin JS is minified.

I have moved shortcode builder from under the post/page HTML editor to a dedicated page. So now everything should be lighter.
