[Plugin: Comprehensive Google Map Plugin] Does this plugin support custom markers?

Sorry for the late reply. I was overseas. ATM, no – it does not.
But, it will…. Its in a pipeline of my TODOs

I was able to add my custom marker by placing it in the folder:
comprehensive-google-map-plugin\assets\css\images\markers\

But, when I enabled permalinks it went away (searching other posts now to see if this has come up before).

Sorry, I lied — it works fine. I just failed to upload the custom marker after testing it on my local installation.

The marker name has to be entered manually as it doesn’t show up in the pick list when generating the shortcode. Generate the shortcode using one of the markers and then substitute the name of the custom marker image.

Well, the uPloaded custom image should show up in the pick list, so you don’t have to do anything manually in the shortcode.

What was your image file name and what plugin version are you running?
The pick list has a lot of images, could it be that you simply did it see it?

I used this method and it worked great (I did have to look closely to make sure I found my icon amongst the many options).

I am trying to upload a custom marker to my google maps plugin but having no joy. I can’t find the file quoted by ‘tcloud’… Any assistance would be much appreciated

I’m not using this any more — turned the site over to someone else and they aren’t using a map. But it worked as I described. Place the icon file in the folder:

wp-content/plugins/comprehensive-google-map-plugin/assets/css/images/markers/

Since I’m not keeping up with the updates, I don’t know if the image shows up in the pick list or not, but I was able to enter the file name manually.

I suspect you could also just overwrite an existing icon (e.g. aircraftcarrier.png) with yours (i.e. use the same file name) and do it that way.

Thanks tcloud. I have tried overwriting it but nothing happens. I cant find that directory either… I have gone into ‘edit plugin’ but there isnt a directory with that name.
