I recently encountered an issue with the Open Currency Converter by Joe Hawes plugin. When activated, it broke my website’s layout, setting a fixed max width of 700px on all pages and causing some CSS to break as well. I suspect that the plugin may no longer be compatible with the latest version of Elementor, as this issue occurred after a recent update.

For now, I’ve deactivated the plugin to prevent further display issues on the site. Could you kindly provide assistance in fixing this problem or confirm if there are any compatibility issues?

I use the plugin specifically for our pricing page and rely on it for the Currency Exchange Converter feature, so I hope to resolve this promptly.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hi @sadev,

Thanks for reaching out and I am sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing. I am not aware of any compatibility issues and without being able to see this occur on your site it is difficult for me to know what to suggest.

Apologies I can not be of more help at this time.

    Best regards,

    Joe

    Hi Joe,

Thanks for getting back to me. I completely understand the difficulty in diagnosing the issue without seeing it in action. To help, I’ve recorded a short screen capture demonstrating the problem I’m encountering. You can view it here: Screen Record.

I’m using both Elementor and Elementor Pro on my website, but once I activate the Open Currency Converter plugin, it breaks the layout and causes significant display issues. Hopefully, this recording will give you better insight into what might be going wrong.

Let me know your thoughts, and if there’s anything I can do to help troubleshoot further.

    Hi @sadev,

Thanks for the video. I set up Elementor, but was unable to reproduce this issue. Are you receiving any console errors?

    Cheers,

These errors occur when the plugin is activated https://snipboard.io/p1VChA.jpg

    Hi @sadev,

Thanks for sharing that, though it did not provide much insight :-/

The only other thing I can think of is could you share the full HTML source of your page with and without the plugin activated? That way I may be able to compare and find the cause.

    I appreciate your patience.

    Cheers,

    Joe

Here is the link for the source code of the website with the plugin activated https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lCi0NBTG9RVhlol9DPqbvYa2mzsPEHB1/view?usp=sharing

Here is the link without the plugin activated https://drive.google.com/file/d/123lmf_uZkA8RVxzKmiRkqm474p7IiLTJ/view?usp=sharing

    Hey @morehawes,

Maybe it’s not compatible with ACF? I used ACF Repeater in some of my code, where I also applied the conversion for advanced pricing and made it more dynamic, like in this instance. https://snipboard.io/LwXfoE.jpg

    Hey @morehawes,

I successfully troubleshooted the issue. It turns out the problem was related to the Hello Elementor theme. After updating it, all of my custom PHP codes—used to create Options Pages and Shortcodes for my ACF Repeater to handle more advanced and dynamic currency conversion—were erased. As a result, the site broke because the shortcodes, where the Open Currency Converter plugin was applied, were unavailable and couldn’t function properly.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction to start troubleshooting. Your assistance was incredibly helpful, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. I hope you have a great rest of your day!
