• We have modified the name of our comments to ‘Online Condolences’. Posts are actually obituaries and visitors are encouraged to leave their online condolences (comments) and we forward them to the family of the deceased.

It’s very important these condolences (comments) are kept private; however, when a visitor submits a condolence (comment) it appears it has been posted publicly but says ‘waiting moderation’.

I know the visitor is the only one that can see this but they think these comments are public.

How can I modify this so they don’t see their comments at all while waiting for moderation?

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Mike

  • I have replied your other post. you can use same solution for this need. you need a contact form plugin not comment plugin, you can use JetPack for your need.

I was hoping I didn’t need a plugin at all and could just modify some of the code. Did I post this in the wrong category?

Do you think I need a plugin?

    Thanks for your help,

    Mike

you can use contact form plugin or you can code a contact feature instad to modify comment form.

on other way you can hide code of comment form where its say “waiting moderation”

I feel the best way to use any contact form plugin or code a form for you if you are familiar to WordPress coding. this will solve your both problem.
