Downloaded and installed it, when writing a page using the tag, nothing happens except for seeing the text between the tags and when clicking on title, takes you back to top of page. Also, my sidebar disappeared using this plugin.

    I appologize to all.

I will update the info and the plugin (I wasn’t sure how wordpress got the plugin from svn and other details) and it was a bit rushed submitting it, I haven’t added anything to the ‘demo’ yet so it won’t work. I will comment when all is updated with an example of it working.

    Sorry and thanks…

Hey, thanks for the info and the now working demo on your blog…

    I’ll give it another try.

Tried it and works great! I’ve been looking at various ways to create an article page (not posts) and this just might do the trick.

    Keep up the good work.

    Thanks,
    Gene

Hi and thanks for the feedback and persevering despite the rocky start.

If you feel anything could be added/changed/improved please let me know.

    Thanks.

Sure looks like you’re making up for it. LOL!

Created a test page on my plugins testing and reviews blog (created for my own fun).

BTW, what’s the “#” doing at the end of the link?

The only nuisance I can see is that if you have a long list of collapsed articles and you click on one at the bottom, it will expand but when you click to collapse when done, it takes you back to the top of the page and you’d have to scroll down to go back to where you were.

    Cheers,
    Gene

Fixed, it shouldn’t kick back to the top of the page anymore.

I will be updating it within the next few days so I can hopefully get it to fail gracefully when javscript isn’t being used and just generally tidy it up.

    Thanks.

Fantastic, another great plugin in development. Don’t hesitate to send anything my way for testing purposes, it’s what I used to do for a very popular forum software solution, after I was done with my bit, it was kicked up to the upper hierarchy for code compliance and security testing before it was approved for their “Mods” database.

Great job, uploaded the revised version and the “nuisance” is now gone.

Nice plugin might want to add and option to have it display expanded so the user can collapse it.

    Thanks for the reply.

I will look into adding this shortly. Unfortunately I can’t at the moment as I have to fix my local mysql install; I don’t want to start messing around using my blog for testing as the hosting is provided by a friend. I will add it to trunk (Other Versions -> development version) when I get this added and I will comment here.

    Thanks.

Sorry this is completely unrelated to the actual problem, but one alternative name that you could consider is something with ‘Spoiler’ inside (a term often used on forums for Tv shows etc.) as it hides the content until the user clicks on it.

p/s: I couldn’t find a working comments section on your site either, and felt it was too silly to create a thread just for my mini post, so hope no one minds the gate-crashing!

Cool, I just did something like this on my blog, myself though. It’s not as customizable as yours and it’s not even a plugin, it simply shows a table showing users how they can format their comment using XHTML.

For example, go here and click the ‘How to Format’ link to the right of the Tags note. Pretty cool huh? ??
