  • Nice idea bluebird2 – this would be useful for a site I am working on too. With BuddyPress Docs now available, how do you see attachments (e.g. MS Word docs) and online document collaboration working together? How could / should CollabPress work with both?

You can currently attach files to projects, task lists and tasks.

Check out the “Files” meta box in the right sidebar of CollabPress:

Excellent – thanks Scott – great support.

Any idea if / when we will see template projects appearing in CollabPress? If I could attach a template document to a template task… that would be awesome!

Is there a way to see the “Files” button/behavior on the front-end / BuddyPress Group front-end?

Second that. The Group page is where I’ll be needing it. So cool that CollabPress does integrate with BuddyPress, but I wish that the interface there was a little bit more developed (e.g. file upload, a more comprehensive dashboard view, ability to add comments).

The “Group” is the core of my user experience, so that’s where I want it to have project collaboration.

    Great project, thanks a bunch.

Thirded! I’d really love to see a BaseCamp-like experience operating at a group level, where (depending on roles, perhaps working with a membership plugin) users can create, modify, update, complete, delete tasks. Having template projects available to specific groups or all groups (configurable) would be icing on the cake.

Really appreciate what you guys have built, btw.

Cannot upload files to a project using the “Files” meta box. I’m on a project’s main page, upload works, but there is no choice to add the uploaded item to “files”. Ive tried insert into post, add to gallery, make featured image… don’t know how to attach the file to the project. WP 3.5.1

Is there still not a way for my users to view/download upload project files via the front-end? Really defeats the purpose otherwise in my opinion

This will be fixed in 1.3, as part of the UI update. Try out the trunk version if you’re adventurous.
