[Plugin: Clean-Contact] Problem with character encoding in email and subject fields

The clean contact plugin is awesome and very user friendly because it’s simple.

However there’s a problem with character encoding.
Character encoding in the body part is fine.

Email address and subject fields however throw errors:
samples:
email address line:
“Hansj??rg” should be “Hansj?rg”
or subject:
“Van &# 39 ; s RV-7A HB-YMT”
should be “Van’s RV-7A HB-YMT”

any ideas?
