• I tested the plugin a couple of days ago on a test system and then it found many old, unused tables. I tried it again on the production system and now it claims the database is clean, but I can still see in phpmyadmin that countless old tables exist.

    How can I debug this?

By the way, if I disable all plugins except Plugins Garbage Collector, the plugins throws an error and is unable to scan at all. So it is hard to find out if there is a conflict with another plugin.

I found at least one plugin that causes problems. The popular Newsletters plugin from Tribulant. If this plugin is active Plugins Garbage Collector falsely claims that the database is clean.

There also seems to be an issue with Plugin Organizer, but I didn’t investigate this further.

Thanks for this note. I tried the Lite version and confirm the conflict you found. I will investigate this and work on the fix.
