The guy is very sneaky with this plugin

    1. He will attempt to put his link in every post that it automatically posts to your site

    2. he also inserts his link at the bottom of your wordpress site

Now obviously being smart I have found a way to get rid of his crap from my site and still use the plugin

Sorry but YOU need my permission to do that crap, dont spam my site using your plugin!!!!

You can always edit you post template to get rid of my links. This is not spam, this is a example to show you what you can do with the template system. Video tutorial show you how.

CJ-Datafeed generate extra money for affiliates. If you don’t, I do and other users too. CJ-Datafeed is running on hundred of happy affiliates websites.

Only link remaining you can’t get rid of is on your page footer. It’s a little price for using my plugin. With a donation, I send back ( on request ) a modified version of CJ-Datafeed without footer.

Just to make it clear …

Does your plugin meet the criteria for inclusion in the plugin directory here on www.remarpro.com then?

    CJ-Datafeed

Yeah. Sure enough. This plugin puts a big honkin’ block of text (two links) centered below the footer on my public facing pages.

    “Powered By CJ-Datafeed”
    “CJ-Datafeed Demo Website”

I really tried to find somewhere in the plugins admin interface, the readme.txt and in the description in the plugin directory where it explained it would do this, but I could have easily missed it, I guess.

The only thing that remotely mentions anything about it seems to be the changelog:

    1.02
    * Add sedo and 1and1 domain name lookup tool in admin page
    * Display special template TAGS with data on template page
    * Adding footer link to support CJ-Datafeed free plugin.

I post this in september :
    About footer links

should add this in readme or admin page… my bad

Not what I meant at all…

Plugin Directory > There are only a few restrictions

“4. The plugin must not embed external links on the public site (like a “powered by” link) without explicitly asking the user’s permission.”

Does your plugin still fit into the guidelines that allow it to be present in the WordPress plugin directory?

You got a point… miss that one.
