I have an extra field “avatar” to upload an image that will be used as an avatar. Upload is working and uploads avatars i.e. in …/wp-content/Cimy_User_Extra_Fields/admin/imagename.jpg

But besides the original-full-size image, there is not a cropped image. I think there should be one, as I found in documentation some extra options for cropping avatars.

I’m on localhost using MAMP and I have checked GD is enabled.

You can crop the image right away, just select the portion from the image itself and save the profile.

    Marco,
the images I’m trying to upload are still “stretched” in the preview. If I try to crop as you suggested, nothing happens when I hit “save profile” and, the crop selection is 16:9 even if I put crop_ratio=4:3 in the advanced options.

I am using the field type “avatar” maybe should I better use “picture”?

Best option would be auto-cropping and resize on upload (as wordpress thumbnail does), is there a way to do that, specifying a thumbnail size somewhere? I don’t need the full size image.

    Thanks for your support

Yes avatar are already resized so probably crop feature doesn’t work well, try picture.

Auto resize on upload is also present, use equal to rule as suggested in the add new extra field section.
