• I’m setting up a WordPress multisite setup and was wanting to use the CDN Sync tool. From what I’m finding this plugin will work fine with a multisite setup, but it appears each site would have to go through and setup the settings for the plugin, and this plugin doesn’t automatically account for the blogs.dir folder.

    I have two questions.

1- Is there anyway that I can make all sites use the same settings by default? So all the sites are syncing to one location? How would that be setup?

2- Though looking at the plugin files I was looking at the sync.php file was hoping that I could add an plugin option for backing up the blogs.dir folder. How would I go about adding the blogs.dir folder to the auto sync?

    Thanks.

  • Hi,
Can you explain how it doesn’t automatically account for the blogs.dir folder? As far as I know it does via automatically uploading media library files to the the CDN. It also allows for blogs.dir folder uploads instead of being written to filers to be written to the same path as in the file system.

Well if I understand correctly, media library files are uploaded by default to the “upload” directory. In a multisite setup, they however go to the blogs.dir directory.

I didn’t see a response to Eric – who BTW is correct according to my experience.

I have the same 2 questions to get it working on my WPMU network.
