    plugin seems to be really slowing the site down lately. Host provider said MySQL has been very busy. Please see results below. This has caused the site to lose connection several times and clearing cache and checking internet connection has not helped. Any solution to lower the load of the plugin on our host server?

    Hi,

    Sorry to hear about the trouble with that… unfortunately we can’t help you with this issue. We run a very tight ship and optimise wherever we can, though some things do use resources, such as scans when they’re running.

    These MySQL logs are for Wordfence, not Shield Security – you’ll want to take this up with them and why it’s affecting your server resources so much.

    Our host provider said the same thing but we don’t use Wordfence. We only use Shield Security.

    Can I ask why you think Shield is responsible for these queries? Shield doesn’t have anything to do with WF.
