Hello, we have a collection option on our checkout, that by default, forces users to select a depot to collect the item from if you need to. However, when the plugin is active, it changes the style of the dropdown on the page and adds a blank option in that users are able to select. This means that the client had a few orders come thought hat came in without a depot chosen and no shipping applied. Can you please advise – as I think this may be an incompatibility with the plugin.

    Hi @daneswood

    I hope you’re well today!

    That’s WooCommerce checkout, correct?

I just visited it and added some product but I’m not sure what dropdown there do you mean – I don’t see any. Should I select some specific product or do something additional on site to see it?

Or, alternatively, what/how should I configure on my own test site to be able to replicate it?

I’m asking because we are not aware of any known issues of this kind so to be able to tell more we’d need to see and replicate it first in order to check what’s happening and why.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hi Adam,

Thank you for coming back to me! Yes, that is correct, it was the WooCommerce checkout. If you select to collect the order, at checkout, it will show the dropdown.

We’ve had to deactivate the plugin for now as it was causing issues, would a screencapture of the issue be helpful?

    Hi @daneswood,

Could you please share a screen record of the issue so that we can better understand it?

We look forward to hearing back from you and helping you debug the issue further.

    Hi @daneswood,

I tried to add the exact products as in the screenshot, but I’m not able to notice the exact dropdown shared in the screencast.

I suppose it requires logging into the website to see the dropdown?

    View post on imgur.com

At the moment, the registration appears to be disabled, so I couldn’t check further to see if there is any common class used etc

Could you please check and advise if I’m missing out anything on how to get the dropdown as shown in the screencast?

Also do you have a staging site? If yes, possible to check how it behaves if you disable all the plugins except Hustle and WooCommerce?

The above helps in giving a better idea of the issues noticed.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Kind Regadsr,

    Nithin

    Hi Nithin,

When you were testing, did you add an address to the checkout fields? The ability to choose between shipping and collection only becomes available once an address has been added in. The plugin is still not activated on the current site but we have set up a development version of the site to do some other work on that you are more than welcome to test on – I’ve enabled the plugin on there for you.

I’ve gone through and have deactivated everything I could on the development site (I couldn’t deactivate everything, as it breaks the checkout fully otherwise) and the reactivated the hustle plugin and the problem still persists. I’ve gone through and reactivated everything now (including the hustle plugin) so if you go here: https://masons.mazurka.co.uk/ – you can test the image with the plugin reactivated.

    Hi @daneswood,

Thanks for sharing the staging URL, I could notice the issue in the staging site.

Do you think it’s possible to check how it behaves once you switch to a default WP Theme? ie Twenty Twenty-Four theme?

Are you using any plugin for the checkout section where select field loads for the “Collection from Store” section? or a custom code?

Possible to also share the export of the popup which are loaded, so that we could have a better idea.

Please check the following doc on how to export the popup:
    https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/hustle/#module-dashboards

You can share the export file via Google Drive, Dropbox or any cloud service in the next reply.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

    Hi Nithin,

Apologies for the delay getting back to you! Of course, we’ve just tested on the dev site and have switched to the twenty twenty four theme and the extra space wasn’t there.

We’re using these plugins relating to checkout I believe:

    Flexible Despatch
    WooCommerce Checkout Manager
    WooCommerce Local Pickup Plus
    WooCommerce Weight Based Despatch

The two active pop ups that have been exported are here for you: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1GAqozGoR_FQ_6saLzbCwpLA7uakLKcns?usp=drive_link

    Hi @daneswood

    Thanks for response!

Unfortunately, we cannot access shared popups export because the link is protected. You’d need to change link permission to “everyone with a link can view” option. If you do that, let us know here, please.

    As for the issue itself.

Your test with switching theme would confirm that theme is in some way related to it. However, it seems you are using a child theme of Beaver Builder and the plugin for local pickup is a premium (paid) one as well.

We don’t have access to any of them to test it. I tried with free version of Beaver builder and some other (free) pickup selection plugins that also add a dropdown to checkout but I couldn’t replicate anything like that.

It seems that we’d need to use those exact plugins/theme that you are using to be able to replicate that and that’s a bummer – because without replication we can’t quite tell for sure where the issue is.

But there are some more things that we could try:

    1. Could you try this?:

    a) instead of switching theme to Twenty-Twenty Four, switch to “parent” Beaver Builder theme if possible and see if that makes any difference

    b) perhaps you could set/reactivate the test site again where we could take another closer look at that? I’m actually hoping that maybe by closely analyzing JS/CSS we can identify the cause of the problem or, at least, come up with some CSS/JS workaround for you.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hi Adam,

Just amended that link for you, so you should be able to get into that folder now.

We’ve also switched to the parent theme and the issue disappeared! The test site is still active, please do carry on using that, let me know if you need the link or the logins again!

Thank you for your help so far!
