Plugin Causes Visual Editor and Settings Fields to Fail

  • I’ve installed the Amazon Associates plugin in a number of my WordPress sites without issue.

    Unfortunately on two sites, which use pretty much identical themes and plugins to the others, I’ve found an issue.

    Installing the Associates plugin immediately means that the Visual Editor for posts will not display. And neither will the Settings fields for the Associates plugin.

    I’ve tried disabling all other plugins, and the error still occcurs.

    I’ve also tried disabling the theme and reverting to the default WordPress themes and the error still occurs.

    I thought it may be because my host for the sites requires manually scheduled Cron tasks, but I have another site with exactly the same theme, plugins and Cron scheduling where the plugin works fine?

    I’ve already lost half a day trying to figure it out and I’m rapidly running out of ideas?

    I am also facing the exact issue on one of my website whereas others are working as fine (with similar configuration and same host). Tried enabling/disabling other plugins to ensure the conflict.

    Any fix will be greatly appreciated.
