Plugin: Category Posts Widget — how to shorten excerpt and align pic and text

  • I’m using the Category Posts Widget (if you see what i’m trying to do here, and know of a better way, please let me know!)

    I’m trying to put in my sidebar recent posts in a certain category with the thumbnail image and a short snippet of the post text.

    On the widget options, there is an option to designate how many words you want the excerpt to be. I have mine set at 25 words, and it’s obviously not working.

    Also, I’d like it if I can align the thumbnail image and the excerpt description so they’re next to each other as opposed to underneath as it is now.

    If you can offer insight on these problems, I’d greatly appreciate it!

    don’t see any images in the widget, the link I clicked went to a post, also with no image.

    that’s strange…if you go the website that i linked (www.annapolitanbride.com) you’ll see in the sidebar, all the way at the bottom, one of the excerpts run by the widget. that’s what i’m referencing

    oops, I thought it was the widget above that, looks like you’ve since went with something that just shows titles.
