• I just installed the plugin capa protect at:
    https://youth.trinitybloomington.org…

as you can see, i get the following fatal error when trying to access my site:

Fatal error: Call to a member function has_cap() on a non-object in /home/trinit17/public_html/youth/wp-content/plugins/capa/capa.php on line 990

I’m a COMPLETE novice. Is there a way to uninstall this plugin? Any advice is deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help-

  • I am having the same problem. I have been given advice to look for a conflict with another plugin (by deactivation), or with my selected theme.

Yes, any advice would be helpful.

I just tried installing CaPa Protect myself and got the same fatal error.

The only way I found to fix the site was to log in via FTP and delete the directory. Use whatever FTP means you would usually use to access the files of your website – My Network Places (Windows), Web-based FTP provided by your host, whatever.

    You’ll be looking for:
    (your domain) > wp-content > plugins > capa

Delete that directory and you will be back to where you were before you clicked “install.”

Now, how to determine what other plugin is causing this issue, short of trying to install/delete via FTP over and over again. I know I’m not running anything crazy.
